My a1 in Cebu adventures part 3

 11/24 Magellan's Pub Part 2

Last night staying at Waterfront.

I totally forgot to mention that the craziest part of this entire trip was how I immediately lost my voice the moment the plane landed on Cebu grounds. My friend even said, You're like Ariel with ur prince charmings here but unable to talk.. So close yet so far! T'was IRONICALLY true! I could barely hold a convo! I'm telling you , On the first day, I could barely speak but t'was still somewhat understandable. On the second day, it was major effort to have the words come out of my mouth...On the third day which is what this post is all about, its just air. LOL

Lui woke up around 7 am cos she had to go meet up with some friends to go to another a1 event so Me and Arni decided we'd stay at the lobby first to wait for the guys ( 'cos she have yet to take solo pictures with them at that time ) but Oh yeah,  Before hanging out at the lobby lounge, we claimed our breakfast buffet for two at the hotel's resto "UNO" where I prolly had about 10 glasses of fresh mango juice and 2 plates of bacon LOL..You see..I dont ever have any problem with buffet meals! I'm sure u can tell from my love handles haha Gross me! LOL Im working on it, okayyyyy!?? Defensive much lang haha :P

After breakfast, we stayed at the lobby lounge and got me some alky namely Tanduay Ice. lol. I know its early morn but their bar looks so inviting..I couldn't say NO! I really am not an alky lol but I'm kinda loving the chill vibe that morn and its just a bottle anyway..Besides I could totally use some artificial confidence so Id have the guts to steal B from S! haha Kidding..As much as I wud love to hate S, she seemed really sweet! She even followed me on Twitter after I met her on a presscon last year ..I just don't have it in me to hate her....*nose starts to elongate*...:P

I had the chance to admire the understated opulence the hotel has to offer..the interiors...The ceiling def stunned me...We passed the time taking photos..I think it was after an hour when the guys went down
and Arni's much awaited solo pics finally transpired!

We knew they were on their way to do some ribbon cutting for another charity event so we  opted to stay  at the hotel and rest up for a few hours. Afternoon that same day, They were scheduled to have a cd singing at some mall and since I haven't got me the new cd as of yet, we decided we'd join in!

 Mark saw me and asked about how my throat is doing again. Isn't he a sweetheart!?
I also asked Christian if he was leaving the next day, Lucky for me, He understood what I was saying even when I couldn't even hear myself lol I can tell he was starting to feel bad that I couldn't speak so he was trying to keep the conversation to a minimum ! And finally...Third kiss I got from Ben! Scoreeee!!! LOL

While at the signing, We heard from a friend that the guys are going back to Magellan's pub that night and that they might perform..Cant afford to miss that one out especially b'cos its Arni and Lui's last night in Cebu..We thought we'd so some serious "prettyfying" for the event and Conviently, Me and Arni found this salon right outside the mall so we did a quick trip. We had our hair ironed out before heading back to the hotel. Karir eto teh! LOL

So after slipping into our party clothes, we took a cab to Magellan's.  Right in front of the stage , There was a table set up for three! Ahhhh Meant to be..:D The guys did not have us wait that long and I guess they got the memo cos they looked so fab like Chris in his suit so adorably cute!

They also graced us a few songs and it was such a treat! 

They were swapping parts of their popular songs with Chris even imitating Ben's voice and Ben doing the same to M and Chris. T'was so funny, we could die laughing! And I gotta say Its the first time I saw Chris being so funny! He's usually the quiet one but He's on a roll that night! Aside from that . My favorite part was when they sang "Take on Me" and b'cos I was right in front of Ben, He would look straight at me through the chorus pointing out the mic to me like he wants me to participate in the singing...LOL..like I have a voice that nyt!?  When they got off the stage, Mark passed by right in front of our table...He was sort-ish getting mobbed but still managed to acknowledge us by giving me a soft slow pat on my shoulder..Ahhh I think I almost screamed for more haha.I bet Mark's the sweetest boyfriend ever! I'd like to find out! Haha I got the chance to take a pic with Chris and i so love how we totally looked like we just hosted our engagement party! Arni and Lui hit the jackpot too by scoring a jowa pic with Ben and Mark! Ahhhh What a wonderful night!

My a1in Cebu adventures day 2: Concert!!!

What I hate about living 2 hours away from the city is having to commute 2 hours with a much conservative attire having to consider the dangers of commuting. My life is all about music and fashion so its a total horror for me to go to a show that means so much to me and not having the luxury of wearing what i really wanna wear. With that said, Staying at Waterfront... I did not have that to worry about! Its a dream come true because the show was literally 6 floors underneath my room haha and the fact that the boys were also staying there!? It was just the most convenient thing ever :)

When I started being an a1 fan 12 years ago, I would never imagine that I'd be this blessed. I had nothing. I would go to a concert and some fans would make fun of me cos I always wear the same clothes...Its not that I am a millionaire now LOL I am absolutely no way near being rich , That's a fact!.. but really am fortunate that somehow I get to afford these things this time around and that God allows me to experience as such. I know that he always makes a way for me.

I remember sitting there for a moment , quietly thanking the heavens from the 4th row of the VIP section seated on a chair that stands on a red carpet floor.. I know how its not my first VIP section..(if u're on my FB, u wud know) LOL..but Seeing these guys from a city I never thought I would ever visit and remembering how I started .. It humbles me. I guess the best part of starting from literally nothing is that you learn to appreciate every blessing that comes your way no matter how small or big it may seem. There are a lot of things that I never understood then which makes perfect sense now. BTW ang drama much lol Ok..Back to my post!

Concerts are twice as fun when you get to share it with your friends so seeing A1's Reunited girls on there and some of my friends from Manila ..made it def more enjoyable! I met a few girls who went there from Manila as well to see the show and we were all chitchatting like we've known each other for YEARS! The funniest part was how these Cebu folks were so well behaved then you see the Manila people filling out the mosh section! lol We were all just a barricade away from the guys all going mental when the show started! While singing Everytime , Mark adorably waved at me from the stage with that face you usually give when u see a friend or someone you know walking across the street... Xempre kilig much ule..You really cant blame me if I miss Mark so much!

My a1 adventure in Cebu (part 2 - A)

 11/23/2012 - Concert day =)

How convenient that I am posting one backlog after another in a gap of err ...a week!? LOL I do not know why I can't just sit down in front of my puter and finish this whole thing! To tell you the truth ..It escapes me! lol

So where did we finish last? Oh yeah...How we ended the night meeting the ever young looking
"Mark Read". I remember how I was so tired that night of the 22nd , I went straight to bed after hitting the door ...Super tired and super happy :D

I still recall everything as though it happened just yesterday. ..
Waking up to the beautiful skyline view of Cebu city...Everytime I think of Cebu, its almost as if it was just a dream. Writing this blog reminds me of just how much awesome time I've had and it makes me wanna go back like NOW NA! God I hate being broke..Pwede bang everyday payday tapos yung sahod q kinsenas un sahod q a day!? Haha

Continuing:

Me and Lui prolly went down for the breakfast buffet around 8 in the morn. We had to be up early cos Laarni , My friend , who's like a really huge a1 fan is arriving from Manila and we still had to look up another hotel. Our original plan was to have it ready by the time she arrives, Eventually plans changed and we decided we'll wait for her so the 3 of us get to decide which hotel to stay at.

SO me and Lui happily went on to our breakfast like lil kids inside a candy store..We vowed to try everything since we paid A LOT! and Boy did we devour everything! Haha

Well after a few hours, Laarni finally came and we all decided we'd head down to Waterfront Hotel.
At  first it sounded like a crazy idea.Not only because the a1 lads are staying there but because Its a 5 star hotel and its so darn expensive to stay there! But ofcourse Impulsive Irish won over Practical Irish and next thing I know , were right inside a cab headed down to Waterfront.

So I got there and asked how much itll cost to stay there for a night....I was told 5800php i think it was, My head's screaming 4 words, "Are you kidding me!?" but honestly it was a lil cheaper than what I had in mind originally , it doesn't make it inexpensive though!  So I asked the lady again, "Don't you have promos available right now for lower rates like if we stay here for 2 nights? Then she said, They do but I'd have to do the reservation via phone..and Its only going to cost me 7500php for 2 nights...That was def justify-able
enough for me and the girls although it beats me that I had to ask and she couldn't do the reservation for me lol ...In the end, we all decided to stay there =)

So we got inside the room and it was alright but it wasn't as glamourous as I thought/ It was designed like an old villa ...Still pretty and its very spacious but Honestly, I liked the rooms in Quest better! Good thing , the awesome interior and details of their lobby and other facilities were quite exceptional, it totally makes up for it!

And so we got there and we didn't even get the chance to roam around cos we had to leave for lunch.
From the hotel, we took a jeepney to Ayala and thought it was amazing how the jeepneys were all numbered accordingly! I've never seen a jeepney terminal so organized! Sorry Manila! lol Anyway, Laarni bought
some swimwear then we made a quick trip to Chowking to take out food.At this point, we have decided we'll eat at the hotel instead cos we only have few hours left and we still have to get ready for the show.

Laarni was sweet enough to iron out my hair straight so when she was having some trouble deciding what to wear, I happily shared my clothes and they were amused by how much clothes I have with me LOL.
We went down around 5 and just outside the door , We saw 2 ladies selling some shirts for the a1 show.
They told us since we are VIP ticketholders , if we get a shirt , we'd get to go inside another meet and greet before the show :D So we got ourselves some shirts which btw I forgot to mention, that all proceeds for the shirts being sold and the concert itself all goes to the benefit of the Younglife Healthcare & Education Foundation which was definitely the best part ever! I mean how awesome can that get, Being able to see the
guys live while helping out the under-priveleged kids of Cebu. I thought it was just fantastic how the guys are totally doing this for free for our people..Their like modern day prince charmings..*let out a dreamy sigh*

We prolly stood there the whole time shaking due to over-excitement and I can't tell you enough how excited I was for Laarni who will be meeting the guys the first time since her Cebu touchdown!

Anyway, She went in first, Next was Lui and I was the last one.

SO I got inside that conference room where they were holding the m & g sesh and Lui was still in front of the guys.. Christian saw me first but he was just staring at me blankly. He wasn't smiling so I was afraid he felt like I am over-dressed for the occassion LOL Maybe he did but that's totally fine cos I got in front of Mark to have him sign my shirt and when Mark laid his eyes on me , The first thing he said was " YOU LOOK GREAT!" awwww...Like Halloooooooooo??? I can't believe Mark just told me after 12 yrs of intense love for them that I look great! Gusto kong magpainom! Haha ...I then answered " I met you last night"... Tapos eto eeeeeeeee Kinilig daw..wala pa nga lol, Mark said.."I know, I remember". Waahhhhhhhhhhh. I died. I died. I died. lol

My a1 adventure in Cebu (part 1)

It started as a crazy idea but since I really do have some crazy blood flowing in my veins... I just had to make it happen!!! It was too spontaneous but everything worked in my favor..Like how I found a cheaper flight even after booking less than a month before the trip..How my arrival night in Cebu falls exactly on my 13th month pay... How I have no leave slots left but had no problems having my boss approve my day-trade...or how I am not close with anyone from Cebu and somehow scored a meet and greet pass, Its surreal!  To top that is the fact that I have such sweet set of friends like Leene who despite the fact that they cannot go on a trip with me, made sure that my trip would go ever so smoothly. I couldn't feel luckier! 

Nov 22 was the day of my flight.

Take note that I went to the airport with my stepdad (who was kind enough to fetch me after work to go there with me) straight from a night shift! My flight was  scheduled at 2pm and I get off work at 8. I live approximately an hour and a half or 2 from work so going home isn't an option for me...I remember feeling so bad that my stepdad had to go there with me cos he wasn't feeling well that day. I had no idea cos I was at work. Since  I still had quite a few hrs left, I treated my stepdad at some fancy place near the airport ..Its absolutely nothing compare to the things he have done for me..I am not really a fan of fancy eating places cos I am a fastfood girl (Im more of a KFC girl :D ) but I really do appreciate my stepdad looking out for me!I wanted to cheer him up :)

So my flight was supposed to leave at 2 but got delayed for atleast an hour...I was getting nervous already cos my meet and greet will take place in Ayala at exactly 6 pm and I have no idea how many minutes it wud take me to get there from Mactan airport but I decided to take my worries off of my head for the meantime and enjoy my first time on the plane (so jologs i know..lol) I was half sure Id be asleep in the middle of the flight but it was too beautiful watching the world from up there, I couldn't keep my eyes off of my window.

So I got there around 4 pm perhaps, and rushed through the exit like its a goddarn finish line! I was too hesitant to take a regular taxi knowing I am not very familiar with the place so I took an airport taxi and the taxi driver was super friendly! He didn't charge much and he was giving me tips like what to look out for, cheap places to stay, what to avoid and even handed out his biz card if I need to be picked up from the hotel to the airport and oh yeah I forgot to mention that at this point, I didn't have a hotel booked yet! LOL
I was that brave, actually scratch that..I was that CRAZY!!!

It was a 45 minutes drive from the airport to AYALA MALL which was right at the center of the city and guess who's the first familiar face I ran into? Like before I could even fix myself up to a washroom and freshen up!?... It was "BEN friggin ADAMS". You wouldn't believe this but I immediately turned and walked the other way..Haba ng hair ko noh!? lol I would never let him see me like that.. Im HAGGARDO VERSOZA to the nth level! lol 

So After I'm finally done with my then much needed touch up..I went down the activity center and to my surprise , found a group of fan girls from Manila who were all from this group named "a1 reunited" that the a1 lads very much loved!  I also saw some old friends from way way back  and we did some quick catching up , I also met the lovely people from the "Cebu loves a1"  club who welcomed me with so much joy, I couldn't feel more welcome! Karen, in particular has been the sweetest thing. She handed me out the meet n greet pass and talked to me like it wasn't the first time we met. I already know at that very time that it'll be a fantastic trip! ..

So the seats were all occupied  and I couldn't seat anywhere near the people I know, not even close to Lui ..... the a1 fan who have been friends with me via FB for the longest time and whom I met the first time that day in Cebu! (How ironic huh!?) We have kinda agreed we'd share a room together to try to save a little..Since she got there a day earlier than me, She have met up with some of her friends from a1 reunited so they were all seated next to each other few rows behind me , Luckily , some guy from Ayala noticed that I do not have a chair so He offered me a seat right in front of the stage.. I couldn't help but wish my friends were there to enjoy such moment with me!

Few minutes more and the lads have arrived singing their sweetest hits serenading the whole mall, You can't help but fall. They sound great together and although I couldn't relate much to the songs no more since I am kind of over that "phase" haha I cant help but get all giddy and dreamy listening to these guys..NOSTALGIA at its finest :)

I met the lads, scored hugs and kisses and had a photo op with hem already!
Should have been satisfied but nah , Its just the beginning ;)


After the Ayala meet and greet, I met up with my friends from way way back, Like Ate Marie and Nancy and their friend Anne, we all came up with this conclusion that the guys are going out that night cos its Ben's bday! We figured they might be at Magellan's pub cos thats where they hung out last time. Marie and her pals headed straight to the pub while Me and Lui went hotel hunting and boy have i got no idea its going to take us forever to get a hotel cos almost every hotel is either fully booked or too expensive! In the end, we decided we'd stay at Quest hotel which is right in front of Ayala mall. Its a lil pricey but unless we wanna sleep on the streets of Cebu , we had no choice! Well ..I am glad we were left without an option cos it was such a pretty fab hotel!

We agreed to stay there for a night and we figured we'd look for a cheaper place the morn after.
We stayed a little to freshen up, took a bath and change clothes and took a cab to Magellan's pub :)

 Prior to entering the venue, we already saw their huge coaster parked outside the pub so its impossible to assume that they are not there! I thought that they will be strict but we got in with no problem at all!
Me and Lui had pizza and some drinks..Minutes after, Mark Read was standing 5 steps away from our table saying Hi to everyone!  We went up to him and said Hi and He was complaining about how tired he thought he looked so I had to tell him, I went straight from shift to the airport, Got on a flight with zero sleep and from airport , headed into their meet and greet. Mark looked at me and said "Wow, You look fresh!".I have to admit..Whether he was just being nice or what.."That made my night!"   haha We took some pictures , chatted a bit and here's a photo of Lui and I and my pic with Mark on my first night in Cebu! :)

AllyCAT.. Matt M5..Benji White and The Sexy Guys of The CAB ♥

I know I could edit the date being that this happened all the way from September of 2012 but I feel like its cheating so I am not doing that haha I'm weird or maybe its just the "OC OC" side of me.

SEPTEMBER 17

I remember going to Makati Shang in my mom' skirt. Honestly I thought I looked like a bag lady who just watched a rock concert with my fave leather jacket on but I just had to wear it! I was heavily attracted to that skirt that day for some reason. Ayan sume segway na naman ako...Ok... Story..Lets start!

Originally, I went there hoping with every teeny bit of me me to see Adam Levine and the rest of Maroon 5.
I was already half-devastated cos in 2011 , The most magical thing happened to me ! Adam slept with me and we cuddled afterwards! Oh wait, That happened in my DREAMS.lol. Kidding aside, Ima tell you a quick story and post the pic here too =)

In May of 2011 , I was with my friends, Ferj, Sam, Dez, Myra, Sheila and Mabel at Edsa Shang. We spent the whole rainy night waiting for Maroon 5. Ferj had her IPAD with her so since we were dead bored and hopeless , I mean we already met James but That's not Maroon 5, That's Maroon 1! I decided ill bombard the guys with tweets while waiting. I saw Jesse tweeting that time so I started tweeting him.

I remeber saying " Hey Jesse, Its just me and 6 of my friends here at your hotel's lobby, Will you come meet us please?".

No response.

I tweeted again " Hey hun Pretty please with sugar on top, will you come down and meet us please? I promise we wont freak out.

15 minutes after, Jesse came down with nothing but his robe on!!! with the hush sign. lol
Haha I know I promised not to freak out but Hey...Who in the right mind would think that he would notice my tweet and have a Happy Twitter After ryt? After all, its  JESSE CARMICHAEL of MAROON 5!
Having said that, I was the last to get my ass off of the couch.

It was too good to be true but Hey, It happened.

SO that happened in 2011 , The reason why I was half devastated was b'cos Jesse isnt with the guys this time around :(   I guess he's got something better keeping him busy and that is quite alright :)

Now back to September of 2012 , I was seated comf'tably at the hotel's couch when right in front of me, a super familiar face walked out from the elevator! Guess who!? Its my most favorite ANTM ever! Allycat ! ANTM all stars first runner up :D I came there for m5 and I got the most awesome  bonus of meeting my girl crush!

                                                         

After Allycat, Matt from M5 came out to take pictures with us. Funny he even asked if we saw the other guys haha Sadly he was the only m5 we met that day , Im sure theyll come back so Perhaps next time around then =)

                                               

                                                 
   SO i went there for m5 aight? I know thats the 3rd time within this post that I've said that but I just need to mention that I was the only one who came there for m5 haha My friends, Well They were there for The CAB along with 10 million other lil girls in the hotel's lobby. I am not really a huge fan but their music is alright and they're a bunch of sweet guys. I met them already during the SMASH tour March of last year and they were nice then, even nicer this time around . It was quite cute actually :) ... I went near the guys in case my friend needs someone to take fotos and Alex De Leon came up to me like a friend who haven't seen me in years and planted me a kiss on the cheek. Ofcourse I ended up taking pictures with him, Alex Marshall and Chance =) I missed the chance with Joey but thats okay cos we had a picture during Smash and he gave out a cute wink ;) ♥

He hung out with us the rest of the night, showed his daughter's picture and was quite a sweetheart! Really funny and intellectual too =)
